About Claribel Olivas Art

Claribel Olivas is a printmaker originally from Odessa, Texas. She earned her BFA from the University of Texas Permian Basin and MFA from the University of Texas San Antonio 
Currently, Claribel works as a Lecturer at UT San Antonio where she teaches printmaking, drawing, and color theory. Claribel’s work encompasses both traditional printmaking, experimental work with textiles and short films. Her most recent work explores themes of magical realism and domestic horror by analyzing relationships to everyday objects and the amalgamation of human/animal forms.
